Ajuda nas edições do mapa [SP]

Good afternoon!
Is there any specific reason why these streets (alleys) hadn’t been created? I created them following a UR request, but just for peace of mind, I wanted to ask if there was any reason why these streets were missing from the map.

Hi, my suggestion is to create a place locally and check if the error persists.

Best,

Hi @MCiolfi!

Yes, I also think that might solve the problem.

However, I wasn’t able to make the suggestion.
In WME, it gives an error saying I don’t have permission to save.
Through the app, you need to take a photo to make the suggestion.

Besides that, I tried to suggest adding number 99, but it’s still not possible to suggest edits to house numbers.

Since I don’t have an editing area there, I can’t do much…

Hi, I put the place there, please see if it’s correct or if the place should be a period? Strange you weren’t able to add it. Try it later in Chrome and Edge.

Best,

From what I’ve seen, I believe everything is correct, yes.
As far as I’m concerned, it could have been a point, but it looks good as an area too.
The external provider just didn’t show up for me, but it didn’t show up for any nearby place either, so it must be due to the lack of area.
Thank you very much!

From my searches in the app, I was able to find the place by name; however, by address, it still directs to that other location.
Maybe it’s worth adding house numbers to the road too, in case people search by address.
What do you think?

I confess I had never tried suggesting edits for places outside my editing area, only for roads.
I usually use Chrome, and I had tested it before in both WME Production and WME Beta.
Now that you mentioned it, I tried with Edge and Firefox, but I didn’t have any success either.
I believe it’s likely not supported yet, unfortunately.

This street provides access to Rua Particular Timão - São Paulo, where there are several companies and some residences. However, Waze suggests that drivers use Rua das Palmas as the main route, but this access is practically unfeasible because the road is narrow, steep, and unpaved.

This causes many drivers to give up on pickups and deliveries, harming local businesses and affecting the area’s residents. The correct route would be to enter directly via Rua Particular Timão.

If a road closure is not possible, what would be the correct procedure to prevent Waze from continuing to suggest this route? I appreciate any guidance!

Good morning!

First of all, we need the location’s permalink to analyze the case. If you don’t know how to create one, there’s a link right below that explains how.

Welcome to our community, I look forward to hearing from you.

Good morning,

First of all, thank you very much for getting back to me.

I have generated the permalink for Rua das Palmas, which needs to be closed.

https://waze.com/pt-BR/editor?env=row&lat=-23.62194&lon=-46.42517&zoomLevel=17&segments=154644955

I have changed the road in question to the “Narrow street/Alley” category. This causes the Waze algorithm to “penalize” the road, avoiding routing (but not prohibiting it) through this segment.
Let’s wait two or three days for the map to update and see if the problem has been fixed.

Perfect, thank you, this change will be very good for everyone.

I’ll keep an eye on things; if anything comes up, I’ll send a message here.

If there is anything I can help the community with here, I’m at your disposal.

There are 3 “places” at this gas station, but I always fill up there and I’ve only ever seen one single location for recharging. How should I proceed? Merge? Delete? If I merge, where?

Hi Anderson,
Thanks a lot for your reply, and just to confirm, you’re talking about Ponto Pedrosa, right?

Ideally, we should merge them all into one. We have a platform that helps charging station owners manage their charging sessions; this speeds up the adoption of chargers since business owners can manage their chargers and their customers.
At the same time, we are helping these owners list these chargers on Waze, which helps electric vehicle users find and use them.
If possible, please guide me on the correct way to enter the information in Waze to make the approval process easier for you.

Thanks,

Best,
Marcelo

Hello Marcelo, I am referring to Posto Pichilau Pioneiro; there is only one charging location there, and I even added photos via the app in the past. There are 3 point-type places registered at the same location; I will list the PLs below.

https://waze.com/pt-BR/editor?env=row&lat=-9.40899&lon=-35.83975&zoomLevel=21&venues=212469418.2124432035.36391142

Hello, I’m entering Av. Barão de Monte Mor, 121 - Real Parque - São Paulo, but it shows the location on the same street, just on the opposite side.

How can I fix this error? Since deliveries are always being made to the wrong place.

It depends…
If the route is plotted from other apps like Uber, iFood, etc., Waze isn’t responsible, because it’s only following the route indicated by the other app.
Now, if the person typed the address and house number directly into Waze and it sent them to the wrong place, then we can look into the location.

See from the image above that I simulated two routes to the location, and in both examples Waze directs to the correct location where the mentioned house number is found

Gentlemen, could you please analyze this UR and try to explain why Waze sent the driver to the roundabout instead of simply going straight ahead?

Hello Esdras, good morning, how are you?

First of all, thank you for the prompt response, well done.

I am sending a Maps link so you can see where 120/121 Av. Barão de Monte Mor actually is.

When I mentioned “the opposite”, it’s because it is sending people to the end of the street.

See if this link helps us fix the address.

Have a great week.
