Speed Limits, Interstates, US Hwys, SRs

Has there been any discussion on if WAZE plans to implement school zones in the speed limit setup?

As far as I know they don’t plan on making any time based speed limits, nor do they plan to have time based speed cameras for school zones either.

That’s sad… Especially considering they already have time based restrictions. It seems like that would be the natural progression.

But how would you program it for non school days? There are the obvious days, like statewide in service days and holidays, but each district typically has their own schedule of days off outside of those.

It could be something as simple as a hazard warning… “Caution… 20 MPH School Zone Ahead”. It is then up to the driver to read the road signs to be aware of the conditions.

I’d rather be warned of a school zone than a car stopped on the shoulder. But that’s just my personal opinion.
