Does anyone have a favorite holder/dock for their phones in their car? I used to use one that fit inside my CD player, but my new car doesn’t have a CD player. I’m leaning towards one that clips on a vent since I have a vent very close to my steering wheel that I could use relatively easily…

My little Honda Fit doesn’t have a whole lotta room for a phone holder.
The way I got around it is using an Otter Box Defender case with the holster clip.
I have the clip sideways attached to the upper cup holder. Pop the phone in and out easily.

I love this mount. Works really good and the phone doesn’t fall off. I even use it in the ambulance with no issues.

This is the one I have been using, successfully holds on to my dash, and my phone. The mount has sticky stuff on it that holds well, and can be removed cleanly.

I’ve had this one for a year. Cup holder mount with adjustable neck. It’s worked great so far. https://www.amazon.com/Macally-Holder-Flexible-Samsung-MCUP2XL/dp/B01KZ45VF4/ref=sr_1_9?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1494505901&sr=1-9&keywords=cup+holder+iphone+mount
I have always not like the phone hanging from my vent, or anywhere everybody could see because it always looks out of place and means I have to take my eyes off the road to look at the map. What I did was put a few small strips of non skid rubber and put it between my steering wheel and instrument cluster. It sits perfectly in my car with no obstruction to my speedo. It doesn’t fly off when I go around a corner and makes it easier to quickly look down and see where you are going. The More You Know.

My long-time favourite. It’s small, it’s easily mountable to various cars and you can place your phone there one-handed.
On warmer period the aircon cools the phone while charging (which is good for your batter) and on colder periods I just close that vent to prevent the phone from overheating.
I work whole day on the road and I’m always using this holders. I’ve tried a lot of brands but the following ones are the best I ever used.
USAMS - Best phone holder for Air vent.
OUDNEAS - Best phone holder for windshields
(Phone won’t shake, no matter if you’re off-road)

Xiaomi - Best phone charger
(Tested on iPhone, Xioami, OnePlus, Samsung with excellent performance)
I have this holders for two years now, I never had another holder that lasted so long. If you can’t find it at local market, you can easily order in AliExpress.
That’s it!
I hope it may help someone… ![]()

I have a phone support from Suphones, I bought it 6 months ago and I’m happy.
I’ve used a cup-holder mounted setup for years by ChargerCity. Been pleased with this device.
Personally, I took a car phone rack with a suction cup. It’s easier to set up and it fits really well in the car’s interior and it allows us a constant visual on the GPS. Unlike the magnet support, a little more restrictive, you have to attach an adhesive to your phone. And to finish fixing on the ventilation grid that I like less, you risk damaging your car plastic.
