Segment of Neilson St starting at Edinburgh St heading E is locked for editing and has no speed limit set for it. Speed limit should be 50kph in both directions.

unlocked

Segment: <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.71323&lat=-36.75527&layers=2533&zoom=4&segments=164249325>>

This westbound segment needs dividing just on the east side of the Albany Hwy bridge. The portion west should be 100 kmph, the portion east should be 80 kmph. (It’s locked level 4 and I’m only level 2.) You can see the speed limit sign in street view if you want to check.

As per the update request, “… the switch on the other side from 80 to 100 is also too early (heading southwest). This happens as you pass under the bridge not near the petrol station.”

Link to the UR: <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.72315&lat=-36.75158&layers=2533&zoom=5&mapUpdateRequest=6171963>>. (NB: I’ve already fixed the eastern end - just waiting on the map tile update for that.)

Could an L4 either do this edit, or unlock it to L2 so I can?

(2nd question, should this be done in this thread or should I make a new top-level thread for this?)

Unlocked.
Let us know when done please.

If its just an unlock, do it here

If you have questions about an unlock start a new thread

or what ever…

Cool - will keep in mind! And speaking of, I’ve finished editing SH18 near Albany Highway.

BTW you know we avoid dual carriage where ever possible.

It is possible to make each side of the road different speeds

Yep, I know. I didn’t split this north/south (that was done long before my time), my edits were east/west and pretty simple at that. However, it is the Upper Harbour Motorway we’re talking about, and motorways seem generally structured as full divided carriageways.

However, the speed limits are only asymetical for about ten meters in reality - I actually need to fix the northern segment (eastbound) at <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.70526&lat=-36.75675&layers=3044&zoom=6&segments=58966738>> as well (I need to repeat the same as I did on the westbound segment, albiet with the dividing point just west side of the bridge.) Can this segment be unlocked as well?

Unlocked.

Cool bananas - speed limts now updated on that segment.

50 kph speed limit extends approx 165m west of the roundabout that is at the junction of Pope Terrace/Pengover ave/Ihimaera Terrace/Cambridge Rd

I can’t edit Cambridge Rd to add a break and the reduced speed limit

Road is L2 already.
I think we need to ask Ispyisail to remove “routing feature” on this road please.

are you sure you can’t edit?

Yes - I tried to put a break in the road where the speed limit changes and got a permissions error

The error I get is “You have no permissions to make some of the changes”

It’s possibly beyond my allowed editing area - I was down there at the weekend and thought I’d add speed limits.

If you want to extend the 50kph speed limit to the correct end point on my behalf, as you exit the roundabout heading west for 165M, there is a twin driveway on your left that goes to two houses one behind each other. The droiceways are the first ones you come to The speed limit sign (100kph) is immediately west of where the driveway meets the road

fixed

can you please check

I had to edit it in the beta editor

Looks perfect now

These segments should be updated to 60 kmph. I’ve updated what I can, these segments are locked L3 and currently have no speed limit set. (Chapel Rd is 60 kmph full length; but not the service lanes; according to A.T.'s Feb 2016 speed limit register spreadsheet.)

Edit: all done now, thanks ispyisail for unlocking relevant segments.

unlocked
