No settings have changed, and I still get warnings about red light camera, vehicles on shoulder, etc, but for some reason Waze stopped warning about speed cameras.
When I zoom in on where the speed camera is, it shows a little camera icon, but no verbal or visual warning.
Perhaps your preferences were changed accidentally or by a software update?
You said red light warnings were working, so the volume settings in the app should not be the issue.
Also, you will only get warnings in the direction of travel that is being monitored by the camera. If the camera is monitoring the other direction, you won’t get warned. Cameras in Ontario are configured to capture the rear plate of offending vehicles after they pass the camera housing.
It’s also possible that there’s an issue with the files for the voice you’re using. Try changing to another voice and then back again after a while to force a redownload of those files.
I have also noticed this happening of late. I get warnings for railroads, red light camera but not for speed cameras.
Still working for me (I drive past one almost every day) on iOS (on my phone, not via CP).
What platform are you on (iOS or Android device)? Are you connected to Android Auto or Car Play?
Which specific speed camera? I can check the setup of that camera to ensure there aren’t any issues with it.
About a week ago BOTH Red Light AND Speed Cameras stopped audio Announcements but still show a popup on the screen.
I noticed this too and was told it was being address and should be fixed in the next update. how long till the next update, i don’t know…
